Afternoon Labs
Extended Day Programs/Afternoon Labs
H. 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM
(October to June)
Upon registration Afternoon Labs will be possible at a later time (from 2.30 to 4.00 p.m.). A minimum number of 5 children per lab is needed. Children are provided an extra snack in the afternoon.
Labs will be paid separately and are opened also to children not attending Humpty Dumpty.
Afternoon Labs' details will be given at the beginning of the school year.
Monday- African dances and Hip-Hop Classes for Children. Get ready to move and groove! Led by our wonderfully talented teachers, Ms Remza & Ms. Beza—who both trained extensively in African dance—this energetic lab brings the heartbeat of sub-Saharan Africa straight to our children. Our young dancers will jump into a world of diverse African dance styles and discover the playful, improvisational freedom of hip-hop. More than just an exercise class, this lab bridges movement with storytelling, teaching children about the history, culture, and traditions linked to every step they take. As they practice, children will naturally boost their physical coordination, strength, and flexibility, culminating in exciting dance numbers they will love to share!! Age group: 2 ys onwards
Tuesday - Art lab run by Mrs Diana & Mrs Beza. Our Theatre Lab will be an interactive, play-based space. Children will explore creative storytelling and self-expression through theatre games, creative play, improvisation and prop crafting. The activities will help children improve their communication, build confidence and foster teamwork, sharing, and collaborative social skills.
Age group: 3 ys onwards
Wednesday - Art and Craft. Led by the wonderfully talented Mrs. Diana and Ms. Mahlet, our Wednesday Art and Craft Lab is where hands-on learning meets boundless imagination. With a deep understanding of early childhood, our teachers keep activities accessible, concise, and dynamic, introducing a diverse array of tactile materials to sharpen the children's coordination and manual skills. More than just crafting, this lab is a journey of self-expression; Mrs. Diana and Ms. Mahlet gently inspire every child to look at the world through a different lens, reminding them that the true magic lies in the process of creation itself.
Age group: 2.5 ys onwards
Thursday - Circus for us! An old favourite!
Organized by Fekat Circus. Children will be doing gymnastic, juggling, balance, human pyramids, and a lot of games. Circus trainings offer a wide range of benefits for physical and psycho-social development. Besides relaxing, improving gross and fine motor skills, circus trainings promote:
- Teamwork, trust and cooperation - Self esteem and confidence
- Self discipline and self motivation - Mental agility and concentration
- Logical thinking and problem solving skills - Sense of achievement, pride and perseverance
Age group: 2.5 ys onwards
Friday - Math & Science Lab. Fridays at Humpty Dumpty are all about curiosity and discovery. Conducted by Ms. Remza & Ms. Mahlet, this collaborative lab is carefully designed to bring the worlds of math and science to life for our young learners. Through a rich mix of interactive games and critical thinking activities, children are guided to explore the environment around them. Together, they will learn to test playful hypotheses, experiment with numbers, and build foundational problem-solving skills, all while developing the patience and focus needed to understand how the world works.
Age group: 3 ys onwards
