PARENTS' INVOLVEMENT

Parents are integral part of Humpty Dumpty community. We cannot exist without parents' involvement and support. We all work together every day for the progress of the children and our broader community.

We communicate with parents (grandparents, guardians,..) in a variety of ways, however the primary source of regular communication is our WhatsApp group and our newsletter.

WEEKLY NEWS AND NEWSLETTER

We always like to update parents on their children progress and well-being.

Our School Director sends an email/newsletter with any important administrative details and updates to all parents whose children are attending Humpty Dumpty.

In addition to our newsletter, at the end of each week our Director send anecdotes and photo highlights of the week.

If you'd like to know more about your child/ren daily activity, you are welcome to approach any of our teachers or assistants and ask either in person or via e-mail or WhatsApp and they will be more than happy to tell you more about your child's day.

PARENTS TOOLBOX

Once or Twice a year we schedule a Parents Toolbox Conference. It is for parents to help build their own personalized toolbox filled with ideas, strategies and hands-on techniques that will help them effectively interact with their child/ren. By this we aim at informing parents on topics of general interests (i.e., how to handle tantrums, developmental stages, learning patterns, etc.). Parents Toolbox Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to learn about what a typical day at school is like for your child, develop stronger connections with your child’s teachers, and gain insights into your child’s development. By participating in these conferences, you are actively building the bridge between home and school, showing your child that you are interested in what happens at school.

For the school year 2025-2026 our Parents Toolbox Conferences are scheduled on January 31st, 2026 and on March 28th, 2026.

PARENT-TEACHER MEETINGS

Twice a year we schedule Parent-Teacher Meetings. It is usually set towards the end of each term.
The 1st Term-Meeting sets a baseline of where your child is, while the 2nd Term-Meeting provides insight on the progress your child has made. The school report is essentially a guide for both parents and teachers to come together and see how your child is doing (what their interests are, where they are thriving, etc.). Because we are all working as a team, these meetings provide a great touch base for both teachers and parents.

Parent-Teacher Meetings are usually scheduled mid-Nov and mid-May of a given school year (please see the school calendar for the exact dates).

FRIENDSHIP PICNIC DAY

Our Friendship PicNic is an opportunity to meet other families, taste excellent food and have fun. The event takes place at Humpty Dumpty and we kindly ask all parents to contribute to its success according to their capacities: you can bring a typical dish from your own country, dress yourself and/or your child with traditional dresses, sing traditional songs or dance a typical dance from your country (it is your chance to perform for your child and not vice versa!).

For the school year 2025-2026 the Friendship Pic-nic Day is scheduled on October 18th, 2025.

CHILDREN SHOWS AND ART AUCTION

At the end of each term you will have the amazing chance to see your child perform during our Christmas and End of the Year Shows. They are usually scheduled mid-Dec and mid-June of a given school year. Please check the school calendar for the exact date.

Each year we have an art auction. You will be able to see collaborative pieces made by your children. Their masterpieces will be sold at the auction. This event for parents raises money for designated charity organizations or to support people in need. Parents will be informed which organization we are supporting each year.

For the school year 2025-26 our Art Auction is scheduled on April 25th, 2026.
